4th Semester
Master's thesis: preparation time: 6 months 12 CP
The Master's thesis should be defended in the fourth semester within
6 months. The Master's thesis is written in English and an oral defense
has to be passed. The work is usually carried out in the Departments of
Engineering, Chemistry or Physics. Polymer-related topics can also be carried
out in the Medical Department or in other departments of natural sciences
(Pharmacy, Biology, Biochemistry/Biotechnology) at the Martin-Luther-University.
The work can also be carried out outside of the University (e. g. at the
Max-Planck-Institute or at the Frauenhofer Institute) as well as at a University
abroad. Further details can be found in the 'Examination Regulations for
the Master studies Applied Polymer Science'
